The Serra High School Counseling Department welcomes you to the
2004-2005 Articulation Process. Planning an educational program
for the next school year will require the collaboration of student,
parent, and guidance counselor. This booklet provides tools you
will need to make well-informed choices. It contains:
Historically 87% of our graduating seniors enroll in two-year
or four-year colleges upon leaving Serra. In fact, college credit
can be earned while at Serra through AP and community college
course provided on our campus. We are proud to have a program
that prepares students for both college and the school-to-career
transition.
Consider your course selections carefully, since it may not be
possible to change your schedule in the fall. You are not selecting
a temporary or probable course schedule. Make thoughtful choices!

Using This Resource
· All students are encouraged
to take the strongest academic program offered, taking into account
the course prerequisites that are noted after each course title.
· Taking advanced-level courses
is recommended for students who have maintained an A or B in previous
advanced courses.
· Study the graduation requirements,
college requirements, and criteria for Academic Distinction. Review
the core subject flow charts on pages 34 and 35 to learn the appropriate
sequence of courses.
